Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of civilizational threats in the sociocultural transformations of Russian civilization in the dialogue of cultures with Western civilization. Sociocultural transformation can lead to the destruction of the cultural core of civilization and a change in civilizational identity. Reproduction of the cultural core of Russian civilization in sociocultural transformations is based on the preservation of cultural archetypes that set the norms of social interaction and values that govern social activity. The study of the archetypal foundations of Russian civilization in the process of transformation, which occurs against the background of intercultural interaction, requires, along with an information analysis, the application of a comparative approach and theoretical and cultural methodology. Currently, the diversity of existing cultures is involved in intercultural communication, and intercultural interaction has become a key factor in sociocultural transformations. Russia participates in active intercultural interaction with various cultural regions, including West European. The mechanism of intercultural communication between Russian culture and the cultures of the West European cultural region is a dialogue of cultures in which Lotman distinguishes three phases. The dialogue of Russian cultures with European cultures continues from the end of the 17th century to the present. The full cycle of dialogue between cultures and European cultures was repeated twice during the indicated period (Peter's reforms, the establishment of Soviet power), and Russia is currently in the second phase of the dialogue of cultures, which began as an anti-Soviet revolution in the 1980s. During the dialogue of cultures, Russian culture assimilates the theory and practice of modernity, proposed as a subject of communication by European cultures and based on the European cultural archetypes “Faustian man” and “holy kingdom”. In the processes of cultural transformations, Russian culture retains its cultural and civilizational identity for several centuries. The article shows that the preservation of the cultural core of Russian civilization is due to the reproduction of the cultural archetype “holy kingdom”.
