The axiological bases of the Eurasian identity of the South of Russia in global perspective

Abstract

In the article are the axiological bases of the Eurasian identity of the South of Russia as methodologically productive course for judgment of civilization prospects of Eurasia as the region is perceived as a micromodel of this geopolitical space. The special backbone values which are the cornerstone of the Eurasian identity of the region and having a per­spective in the geopolitical future of Russia and Eurasia are revealed. The judgment of civilization identity of the South of Russia is promoted by chronological stages of the concrete spiritual atmosphere created around it by the political and ideological trends of history. Proceeding from the principle of unity historically and logically, the author be­lieves that the axiological bases of the Eurasian identity of the South of Russia in its mul­tilayered culture consist of the ethnic values finding the embodiment in cultural symbols and of the religious norms which formed a late layer of culture and passed then a peculiar ethnical progress in the course of the formation of a regional identity.

The political, moral and gnoseological ideals and norms considered and concretized in this article in the system of the Eurasian values of the South of Russia can be carried to a number of fundamentals, forming globalization joints of the West and East. In the opinion of the author, the Eurasian identity of the people of the South of Russia is directed in con­nection with the alternative values which can be considered not only as a factor of con­solidation of the people of the respective former Soviet Union states, but also as a basis for inter-civilization and cross-cultural dialogue. The result of such dialogue and a poly­logue has to lead to a basic change of categorical valuable contrasts, to a transformation, first of all, of the fundamental ideals serving the globalized spheres of human community of norms; which are freedoms, the rights of the individual and society, target and valuable rationality, liberal and constitutional democracy, etc. And here the Eurasian values in whose formation the contribution was made by historical and ethnic traditions of the re­gion of the South of Russia are acceptable and effective.
