The article identifies the main problematic issues of civilization development in terms of worldview motivation of scientists. The rejection of religious worldview has led humanity to the total falsification of history and the creation of aggressive political ideologies. The study of the worldview bases of a civilizational approach incompatible with the ideologization of humanitarian knowledge will make it possible to formulate a reasoned response to the threats faced by mankind in the 21st century, as well as to avoid the risk of using civilizational theories for political purposes.
